We spent the first part of Spring break in Oregon visiting my old high school friend and fellow twin mama. The weather was a little uncooperative and rained on and off the whole time but we had fun regardless.
Grants Pass is a small Southern Oregon town that sits along the Rouge River. The downtown area is quaint and historic and home to a real soda fountain. The concept was foreign to my kids so they opted for ice cream. The cultural part of the trip didn't end there, my kids were also exposed to their first AK47 and allowed to steer the Mule (a little golf cart thing one may see on a ranch but not in the city). It was also noted that the mailman drives a Jeep Cherokee.
The highlight was Easter! Egg dying, egg hunt, baskets filled with goodies and candy!
