Futuroscope was the 2013 Traveler's Choice winner (top 10 amusement parks and water parks by Trip Advisor) so we packed the kids in the car and went to check it out for ourselves. At first sight, it felt a bit like home with it's modern architectural structures. " It's like America," we exclaimed as we drove into the parking lot.
We were limited to which attractions we could see because the boys didn't reach the height requirements, so we weren't able to see it all. Our favorite attraction of the day was the Le Petit Prince in 4D. It was almost too scary for Wilder but he toughed it out by sitting on my lap. The lines could be quite long even on this non-holiday spring day so we sometimes opted for the park structures and water features (bring your bathing suit).
Bijou's favorite was the Dances with Robots ride which the boys and I had to wait for her and Doug on the observation deck because they were not tall enough. It was a club atmosphere DJ'd by Martin Solveig and the boys were easily entertained by the music for the 45 minute wait. Eero in particular is super into music and to watch him tap his foot and bop his head around for nearly an hour had me picturing him spinning his own records one day.
I'd recommend 2 days at the park if you want to visit. There are several nearby hotel options.
