The roses are blooming in abundance at Carmagnac this month. It's a treat to have flowers to cut for the vases in the house since our dry California garden at home does not provide us with these sweet treasures. A rose body scrub seemed like an appropriate concoction to make this week. Our skin is dry and cracked from the long winter and the boy's were eager to shower (a rarity) because they wanted to use the new scrub.
one spoon full of olive oil
5 spoons of raw sugar
a handful of fragrant rose petals
Grind together with a mortar and pestle and apply using a circular motion to dry skin. Rinse.
