Our days in Paris have ended and we are settling into life on the farm. The home we are renting is located in the VERY tiny village of Vaux-Lavalette in the northern Dordogne region of France. We caught a TGV train from Paris to Angouleme (30 minutes from our house) and it was a 3-hour ride. Our house is lovely, even better than I imagined based on the photos we had seen online. It will be a perfect spot to raise our children over the next year. It is quite a contrast from the urban environment we are used to. It will be challenging to not see our friends daily and have 101 activities at our fingertips but there is so much more to explore and experience about this rural life we are about to embark on.
