We are traveling light to France in a few weeks and so our motto for kid's entertainment will be, "let's make something out of nothing." I'm up for the challenge!
These painted rocks are fun to make and are perfect for budding story tellers. Bijou and I collected a bunch of flat rocks down at the lake the other day in a variety of sizes. The rocky shore by our cabin provided a plethora of choices.
Back at home, we set up the art mat out on the deck and went to town painting different camp-themed objects onto the rocks. We used Gouache paint for this project.
Once you have a few handfuls of rocks painted, you can mix and match to tell a story. A muslin sack or a little basket is a nice way to store them.
