We are busy preparing for the 4th of July holiday and for the arrival of our friends this afternoon. This delicious salad recipe can easily be prepped a day ahead and dressed right before serving.
Our Forth of July plans are pretty low key. We will start the day with an early morning trip to the beach before the droves of people arrive and parking is scarce. We may blow up the kayak and take the kids for a little row along the shore. In the afternoon, we are picnicking with friends in Tahoe Park and hope to catch the Tahoe City fireworks show from the beach. This will be the first year the boys are old enough to stay up late to watch them. I can't wait to see the amazement in their eyes.
