My favorite part of the week were the afternoons spent walking around the neighborhood. The cool vintage cars, dutch bikes, boats, canal wildlife, and amazing buildings were endless. It costs a pretty penny to live here, I can see why.
The Jordaan neighborhood is close to the city center and many museums but far enough away from the hotels and tourist packed blocks that you get an authentic local experience. There is not much car traffic but I did need to keep the kids out of the way of the bikes. People bike fast and it seems the bikes have the right of way, always.
